Working with the Choueiri brothers to open this fantastic Middle Eastern food concept in Coburg was an absolute pleasure.

True to the usual tale of migrants setting up business in Australia, the children were involved and their love for the food, traditions and people is evident in this big bright space full of life and culture.

The wallpapered feature wall and tiled tabletops are a standout... as are the Zaatar and Kafta Pie!

The Dohtonbori restaurant design showcases innovative dining zones for unique experiences, premium materials and luxe finishes, stunning custom artwork and feature lighting throughout.

Atas Dining

Atas Dining, exudes charm and sophistication while conjuring up feelings of a tropical Malaysian climate, this restaurant succeeds in transporting the diner as well as providing a fine dining experience.

Dohtonbori

The diner’s exterior resembles the streets of Japan’s older districts, with worn-looking tiles, timber fencing, a slatted awning and a few outdoor benches and banquettes.

Fukutontei

Fuku in Japanese means happiness, while Ton means pork and Tei means shop. So Fukutontei is a "shop where you attain happiness by eating pork, and ramen!"

Ciao Mamma

It was such a pleasure to work with owner operators to design a contemporary restaurant with many nods to it’s heritage, family and the past. The interior is warm, rustic and full of character…
